Team
Who are we?
X-COV is made up of a multidisciplinary team in which professionals, researchers and university students from different areas participate, ranging from physicists, radiologists and experts in medical imaging, to programming, fine arts and audiovisual communication.
We are part of the Nuclear Physics Group (GFN-UCM) and the Institute of Particles and Cosmos Physics (IPARCOS-UCM), both from the Complutense University of Madrid, so we have extensive experience in medical imaging and in collaboration with public and private hospitals. This also allows us to offer a clinical perspective guided by radiologists and experts in the area.

JOAQUÍN LÓPEZ HERRAIZ

PhD. in Physical Sciences (UCM-2010). He spent four years at MIT developing medical imaging projects. He leads several projects at a national and international level and has licensed software to several bioengineering companies, adding new functionalities to their products.
